COUNSELLING

I believe (and research shows) the best indicator of success in therapy is the relationship between therapist and client. For this reason, I encourage anyone looking for a therapist to take the time to find someone you are comfortable with and feel connects with you. Each therapist has their own style. For me, I keep my sessions fairly casual and conversational. I find that while there are sometimes tears in session, there is also often laughter. I like to keeps things real and sometimes funny things happen! Sometimes I will bring in an exercise or activity if I think it will be beneficial to my client, but always ask their consent to participate. I aim to learn what works best for your needs and bring that to our work together. Building a connection without judgement is important to me and how I work.

INDIVIDUAL COUNSELLING

(Fee: $155 per 50 min session.)

I offer in-person counselling and virtual counselling. Through Covid-19 virtual counselling became very popular and has proven to be a very effective way of doing therapy. However, not everyone likes it. It is a personal choice, and I am happy to offer both options. I have in-person locations in both Surrey and Langley, BC.

CONSULTING

(Fee: Contact to discuss)

I offer consultation services for individuals, groups, and organizations looking to increase their awareness and ability to support the neurodiverse community, specifically autistic folks and ADHDers.

This can look like:

-creating neuro-affirming content

-training how to provide greater care and understanding when working with or serving neurodiverse folks

-presenting on common challenges faced by neurodiverse people and their families and how to address those challenges

Do you or a family member have autism or ADHD? Trying to understand how to understand your own diagnosis or support someone with their diagnosis can be really challenging. I can help you understand how autism or ADHD shows up in your life and how you can live your best authentic life.

Parenting

It’s no joke. The stress of parenting starts when you find out you are becoming a parent and it never goes away! It might get harder or easier at times, but it truly is a major life challenge. I am here to help. This might look like learning strategies for managing stress, developing new communication skills, creating and holding boundaries, and more.

Life Transitions

Has your life been touched by a major event such as a medical diagnosis, career developments, changing relationships, death of a loved one, or one of the other major life events people experience? Personally, I have been through many. I can help you find your way through it all.
